In the wake of the apex court's guidelines, the Bihar Government has decided to introduce high-security number plates and licence system soon, the State Transport Minister, Mr Brishen Patel, said.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Patel said work was going on in full swing to implement the high-security number plates system to check misuse of the vehicles by terrorists after these were being stolen.
“We are doing it in accordance with the Supreme Court's guidelines,” he said. The Centre, according to Union Motor Vehicle rules, made the high-security registration plates compulsory and these number plates would be specially designed in chromium and aluminium.
