Freight rates for 10 metric tonnes load for select destinations rose by Rs 1,000 on the local truck transport market on Saturday on pick up in cargo movements.
Transporters said pickup in cargo movements following ongoing festive season against tight availability of trucks mainly pushed up select destinations freight rates.
Delhi to Mumbai, Pune and Surat freight rates were enquired higher by Rs 1000 each to Rs 26,000, Rs 29,000 and Rs 22,000 respectively.
