Electrification of Shoranur-Mangalore line and doubling of Shoranur-Mangalore line would be completed before March 31, 2012, a top Southern Railway official said today.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with District officials, Mr Deepak Krishnan, General Manager, Southern Railway, said trains declared during the last Railway Budget would be introduced before the end of March next.
The trains, which were announced in the budget are Mangalore-Howrah, Kochiveli-Porbander, Bhavanagar-Kochuveli and Mangalore Inter-city, he said.
