National carrier Air India will operate direct non-stop flights between Delhi-Mumbai and Mumbai-Coimbatore from October 25.
In an effort to provide more seats on domestic sectors, the airline is also changing the type of aircraft being operated. The officials said it will be difficult to say by how much the number of seats will increase as the it varies from aircraft to aircraft.
The airline is also starting a Mumbai-Diu flight from October 26. Initially the flight will operate four days a week. The airline will also start a third daily frequency flight between Delhi and London from November 1.
