In its endeavour to widely reach the student's community in Kochi, the CII-Institute of Logistics (CII-IL) has inked a memorandum of agreement with the CEOs of Vidya Bharathi Group of Institutions, Kochi, and Intellectual Business Advisory Services, Coimbatore, authorising them to function as Learner Facilitation Centres (LFC).
The objectives of LFC's include incorporating local specific case studies and success stories to the national level programs and facilitate easy and hassle-free access to the distance education programs of CII-IL.
CII-IL's Education wing offers PG Diploma in SCM, Diploma in SCM and five certificate programs in Logistics and SCM in distance mode for working professional as well as fresh graduates, for enhancing their career scope in logistics sector. Distance Education Council's approval has been obtained for all these programs.
Course curriculum is specially designed to cover across the verticals in Logistics and Supply Chain and the unique Web-enabled live and interactive virtual classes can be accessed by student's world over.
Promising biz
Mr K.V. Mahidhar, Head, CII-IL, underlined that logistics is a promising business preposition and supply chain is a strategic tool to meet the competition which will go a long way in re-defining the bottom-line of the company.
He said this MoA is indeed a major milestone in making the education process much easier and accessible to the student community. He also informed that similar centres would be established in other parts of the country.
