Diesel Locomotive Works has manufactured its 267 rail engines in 2010-11, surpassing its target of making 250 engines.
Mr Rakesh Vatash, Chief Engineer, after flagging-off the engine at a function held here on Thursday, appealed to the DLW workers to be on their toes in 2011-2012 to meet the challenges in manufacturing of DMD rail engines, manufacturing of crank case and also supply of spare parts to regional railways and supply of additional spare parts on time to non-rail consumers.
