There is to be an increase of close to 21 per cent in the number of weekly flights that domestic airlines will operate from October 30 this year.

The winter schedule which comes into effect from October 30 and will remain in force till end of March 2017 will see domestic airlines operate 16,600 weekly flights as against 13,744 weekly flights in Winter schedule 2015, a senior official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said. The flights will operate to 76 domestic airports.
