Qatar Airways has announced that it will launch service to and from Kolkata from July, taking its total number of weekly services out of India to 95 spread across 12 cities, according to a press release.
Kolkata, being described as the airline's 12th gateway city in India, will be one of the eight new routes the airline proposes to introduce across the globe between March and October.
From March 1, the airline has also enhanced the capacity of its Bangalore service, replacing the earlier narrow-body aircraft by a wide-body Airbus 330, the release added.
