South Western Railway will celebrate the 56th Railway Week this week. It is to mark the advent of the first train run on Indian soil on April 16, 1853, from Bombay to Thane. As a part of celebrations the South Western Railway headquarters will hold the “Railway Week Award Function” on April 13 here.
Mr Kuldeep Chaturvedi, General Manager, SWR, will be the chief guest and MR Mohan A Menon, Chief Personnel Officer, SWR, will welcome the guests. The railway week celebrations will also be held at all divisional headquarters during the period.
