The Chief Minister, Mr V.S. Achuthanandan, launched the renovation work of the Tagore Theatre in the centre of the Capital City on Tuesday. The vast open space around the theatre complex would be largely retained and the existing stretch of greenery expanded further, the Chief Minister said. The aim is to make the complex the most attractive choice for holding public functions and cultural activities. The renovation work is expected to cost Rs 11 crore, the Chief Minister said.
