Amid the continuing standoff with the government, Anna Hazare’s team on Friday claimed “full support” of several political parties including BJP to the Jan Lokpal Bill when it is brought before Parliament.

Mr Hazare’s close associate Mr Arvind Kejriwal claimed that BJP, Left parties, JD(U), Shiv Sena and Telegu Desam have extended “full support” to the Jan Lokpal Bill.

“The BJP has assured us of full support to Jan Lokpal Bill. We held discussion with Left parties, JD(U), Shiv Sena and Telegu Desam and they have also assured us full support,” Mr Kejriwal said.

He said discussions with other political parties are also underway to explain to them the provisions of Jan Lokpal Bill. “Our talks are on with other political parties,” he said.

Mr Kejriwal said Mr Hazare has also shot off a letter to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh saying he would break his fast if Parliament agrees to his three key demands.

He said a letter is also being written to Lok Sabha Speaker Ms Meira Kumar in this regard as Parliament had requested the Gandhian yesterday to call off his fast.

Mr Hazare’s letter also contains his Team’s version of a resolution needed to be passed in Parliament, detailing their three demands - all civil servants should be brought under Lokpal, a Citizen Charter should be displayed at all government offices and all states should have Lokayukta.

Addressing the gathering, Ms Kiran Bedi urged the Parliamentarians to conclude the discussions in Parliament by tonight considering the deteriorating health of Hazare.
