Apple is perceived to be the ‘warmest’ and ‘most competent’ smartphone brand in the country, followed by Sony and Micromax, according to a study by Drizzlin Media.
“The study tries to understand how the customer emotionally connects with the brand, what they feel about the brand and how they functionally rate the brand, based on the price they paid and the ease of use,” said Freddie Benjamin, Research Consultant at Drizzlin.
It may be recalled that Apple, which is set to launch iPhone 6 later this year in India, does not have flagship Apple Stores here. However, the brand thrives because of what people hear and read about it, said Benjamin.
Sony and Micromax take the second and third slots respectively as they bundle their devices with good accessories and differentiate on the after-sales customer experience, the research suggests.
Apple Inc sold a record of more than 10 million iPhones 6 and 6 Plus on the first weekend the two new versions hit stores.
