Bomb scare at TCS training facility in Chennai

There was a bomb threat at the training facility of Tata Consultancy Services at Ambattur in Chennai. All the employees were immediately evacuated from the facility.

A company spokesperson said another tenant in the building that houses the TCS training facility received a call threatening the safety of the facility this morning. All employees and faculty were evacuated from the location in an orderly manner.

The police and their specialist teams have taken control of the facility and are conducting an investigation into the incident.

"This incident will not have any impact on our business operations in Chennai as the facility was a training facility. We have declared a holiday for the facility. Things are under control," said a company official.

At any point, around 1,000 employees undergo training at the facility, he said.
