Sundaram Edusys, the wholly-owned subsidiary of BSE-listed Sundaram Multi Pap, has launched e-class for standard first to seventh in Maharashtra for English and Marathi medium students.

The company's e-class already covers syllabus of eighth to tenth standard in Maharashtra.

Mr Amrut P. Shah, Chairman and Managing Director, Sundaram Multi Pap, said the company is taking steps to install 600 LCD TVs in retail stationary stores in cities and rural areas of Maharashtra to demonstrate ‘e-class' to consumers and all the students of Maharashtra Education Board.

“The move will substantially expand penetration of ‘e-class' across Maharashtra and benefit the students enormously in improving their academic performance and thereby enhancing their career prospects for better life. Besides, the company will also approach corporate houses and NGOs to help reach interior Maharashtra to service less privileged students,” he added.

At present, ‘e-class' has been used successfully by thousands of coaching classes, schools & individual students in Maharashtra, he said.

Sundaram has developed the academy content in such a way that benefits of their ‘e-class' can be taken by one and all, whether they are students, parents, teachers, school management of urban and rural areas with the help of very user friendly platform such as television, computers, projectors and server rooms or computer lab. Sundaram believes that timely steps in right direction will augment the overall growth, literacy rate and job opportunities in Maharashtra.

Shares of Sundaram Multi Pap on BSE were up 0.35 per cent at Rs 43 on Wednesday.
