Utthishta Yekum Fund, a Hyderabad-based seed fund, has invested Rs 25 lakh to pick a 9 per cent in the start-up Vaave (www.vaave.com), promoted by Coherendz India Pvt Ltd. This start-up helps educational institutions build exclusive networking portals for their alumni.
The fund joins the start-ups early in their journey and offers knowledge in a variety of areas that are required to run a firm. It said it has the option to invest further in the start-up.
It has been selected by Nasscom in the second phase of the 10000 Startups initiative, to hand-hold the firms with expertise and networking with funding firms.
About 50 institutions have been using the product to connect with their old students.
It also offers a placement and training portal, a students’ portal, merchandise store and event registrations system, an Utthishta Yekum Fund executive told Business Line .
The start-up is promoted by Paresh and Sanjeev.
