Mumbai-based Agrahyah Technologies, a voice solutions company, on Friday announced the launch of the ‘AOP App’ for Android phones, which enables access to Amazon’s virtual voice assistant Alexa on the go.
AOP, or Alexa On Phone, is expected to help people access Amazon’s Echo range of smart speakers even when they are away from home or office, where they have installed these gadgets. The app is free to download and use, and users just need to login with their Amazon ID. The app is also available globally, and works in multiples languages including Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Italian and English (Indian, US, UK, Australia, and Canada), Sreeraman Thiagarajan, Co-Founder, said.
Agrahyah has been working closely with Amazon’s Alexa teams, including ASK (Alexa Skills Kit) and AVS (Alexa Voice Services), he said. Agrahyah is among the few agencies recommended by Amazon for Alexa skills development in India and was awarded the Agency of The Year and the Agency of The Year – Top Influencer distinction in 2018.
