Everonn Education, a Chennai-based education company, has become Microsoft's first academy service partner in India to help Indian students take up Microsoft courses online through Everonn's platform.

Announcing the tie-up in a press conference, Ms Irina Ghose, Director, Education, Microsoft India, said the company has 25 such partners around the world, and Everonn is the first in India. Through the Microsoft IT Academy Programme, Everonn will offer a comprehensive educational programme that links classroom instruction with IT skills, she told newspersons.

Everonn will offer Microsoft training, courseware and certification across all Microsoft IT Academies. This will affect around 3,00,000 students in three years, said Ms Susha John, Director, Everonn Education. The company has been a certified partner for learning solutions for Microsoft for three years. Everonn is present in 1,800 colleges across India, and will use this network for the tie-up. With its V-SAT platform, the company will be a facilitator in offering Microsoft courses, she said.

The companies did not reveal any financial details of the tie-up.
