Back office firm Firstsource Solutions has reported a 36.8 per cent rise in net profit for the September quarter on the back of lower costs and reduced interest expenses.

The company, which is part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka group, has recorded a net profit of Rs 61.2 crore as against Rs 44.7 crore in the corresponding year-ago quarter.

“The focus on profitable margin growth and customer satisfaction continues as we deliver value to our clients. This fiscal the company has signed significant new business wins, which will translate into revenues over ensuing quarters,” Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, said in a press statement.

Revenue was down by 2.1 per cent to Rs 774 crore (Rs 791 crore).
