Scores of gamers have turned up at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on Saturday to have a peek view into the latest high-end games and high-performing gaming PCs and other devices.
The two-day event, the fifth in the series of Gamer Connect 2017 by NVIDIA, was inaugurated by Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao on Saturday.
The firm hosted four such events in Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Kochi and Lucknow in the series.
“It is a platform for the gaming community in the country to interact and explore new avenues in gaming. It helps in building the gaming ecosystem,” Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director (South Asia) of NVIDIA Graphics Private Limited, said.
Development of gaming spaces held the key in building a good ecosystem, he said. “While Telangana market has a potential of more than 200 gaming cafes, there are only 20-30 decent gaming cafes,” he felt.
“There are 15 million PC gamers in the country, including one million in Telangana,” Vishal Dhupar said.
Dell, LG, Zotac, and HyperX have displayed their gaming products and devices at the event.
Latest games such as Call of Duty WW II, Destiny 2, Middle Earth: Shadow of War, NFS Payback, and Assassin's Creed Origins were demonstrated. NVIDIA showcased GeForce GTX graphic cards.
