GETIT launches services on phone

GETIT Infoservices Pvt Ltd., pioneer of Yellow Pages in India, has launched two free services on phone in Kerala.

One of them, ‘getitFREEADS', is a free classifieds service available to consumers through a combination of phone and online.

This enables quick buying and selling of used products by eliciting the best response from users, including those who are not online users. The other service, ‘callGETIT', provides business information and guidelines round-the-clock.

Mr Sidharth Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, GETIT Infoservices, said that the overall tele-density in the country now was close to 67 per cent with mobile communication fast gaining popularity and widespread acceptance. In the coming years, mobile devices would become the people's window to the world.

In the event, the company thought it imperative to re-launch its local and classifieds services in a manner that was best suited to address the needs and desires of the mobile phone users, Mr Gupta said.

He noted that Kerala was one of the fast growing markets in the country with many traditional businesses as well as modern industries proliferating in the State. In the coming days, the company would spread the services to the other cities in Kerala, he added.

He said that ‘getitFREEADS' would make buying and selling simple.

The consumers could place free ads in various categories such as household goods, vehicles, properties, employment, education/tuition, business/services, computers/mobile, health and holidays.

Similarly, ‘callGETIT' would provide right answers and give users access to any local information on businesses across leading cities in multiple categories, he said.
