Google is celebrating International Women’s Day with a special doodle that features inspirational quotes from 13 women. The interactive doodle showcases slides with quotes from women achievers from various fields, including those of Frida Kahlo, BenoZephine, Mary Kom and Yoko Ono among others.
The doodle begins with ‘woman’ written in 11 languages. Once the ‘play’ button is clicked, the slideshow begins with quotes from a woman achiever, presented in their local language. “We aimed to include a diverse representation of voices on a day which celebrates the past, present, and future community of diverse women around the world,” the Google blogpost on doodle said.
According to the blogpost, the quotes were designed by a team of female guest artists from around the globe, to stress on this year’s theme of ‘Women empowering women’.
