Information Security Consortium (InfoSec), an independent group formed by information security services and training firms, has said that it would come out with a report every month, starting next month on cyber security.
The report would carry studies on advanced persistent threats in the cyber world and mobile and electronic security as Internet mobile is also growing in the country.
The consortium will also work with the Government on these lines and co-operate with the Government’s cyber security programmes.
The group is formed by companies, including Nullcon, Cocon, Malcon, ClubHack, and OWASP, and is supported by India Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-ISAC) — India’s first independent CERT for mobile and electronic security.
The body is supported by National Security Database, a Government supported empanelment programme for information security experts for national critical infrastructure protection.
It will also organise a four-day conference called Ground-Zero to be held in Delhi between November 7 and 10.
“Such conferences provide great opportunity for different stakeholders in the field of information security that is business leaders, IT and InfoSec professionals, policy and perspective planners and the citizens,” P. Raghu Raman, Chief Executive Officer, National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID), said.
Such summit is essential because if these stakeholders do not combine together, then the attackers will take them apart piecemeal, he said.
