Pegasystems Inc, a digital transformation solutions company, has launched a ‘Enterprise Low-Code Factory’ that allows an employee to quickly create software that conforms to company standards.

“Low-code or no-code has grown rapidly in the face of unprecedented demand for software. But left unchecked, these well-intended low-code app makers could unknowingly cause shadow IT issues — software updating gaps, work duplication, and organisational silos,” a Pegasystems spokesperson said. The US firm has a huge presence in India with a development centre in Hyderabad.

“Organic low code adoption might be sustainable for small companies, but it’s hard for large organisations to effectively scale without checks to prevent IT chaos,” said the spokesperson in a press release on Tuesday.

A centralised dashboard was released at the PegaWorld conference at Las Vegas.

“With tools, training, and resources, the Factory helps businesses cultivate and scale their own home-grown community of developers without compromising on software quality, consistency, or governance,” it said.

The Enterprise Low-Code Factory is scheduled to be available by the third quarter this year for Pegasystems Platform customers.
