Nasscom is all set to play the role of a matchmaker during the Valentine Week for budding entrepreneurs.
The industry body has joined hands with Entrepreneurship Café to launch a 10-day initiative called ‘Be My ValenTech’ in a bid to help start-up companies find the right talent, especially for leadership roles. “Every ying needs a yang, like every founder needs a co-founder. And we at 10,000 Start-ups get this! So with the support of Entrepreneur Cafe, this Valentine's, we've set out on a mission to help you find your Start-up Soulmate just in 10 Days!,” a form available on Nasscom’s 10,000 Start-ups website read.
“Many start-ups find it difficult to get the right co-founder on board through the traditional employment channels. This initiative ensures that likeminded individuals can meet in places like coffee shops to discuss working opportunities,” a Nasscom spokesperson said.
Entrepreneur Cafe is a global movement that attempts to connect entrepreneurs within various cities over a cup of coffee. Such meetings are now held in 50 cities across six continents.
Nasscom has already received 250 applications for this initiative. After an initial round of ‘match-making’, Nasscom will hold ‘first dates’ or meet ups for founders and co-founders at coffee shops across 12 cities.
One such meeting was held in Delhi today.
