NIIT Ltd has posted an over six-fold increase in consolidated net profit at ₹13.7 crore for the third quarter of financial year 2015-16, compared with ₹1.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of financial year 2014-15, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The company’s net revenue for the October-December quarter stood at ₹262.3 crore, which is 5.6 per cent higher compared with ₹248.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Rahul Patwardhan, Chief Executive Officer, NIIT Ltd, said in a statement, “Global Corporate Training Outsourcing is growing steadily. While we further strengthened our Corporate Learning Business operations in the US and Europe during the quarter, NIIT is now positioned to leverage emerging opportunities back home in India, as we perceive a huge potential for industry-aligned, globally benchmarked corporate learning solutions from leading corporates in the country.”
Corporate Learning Group, which offers managed training services to market-leading companies in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, recorded net revenues of ₹158.6 crore during the quarter, up 17 per cent over same period last year.
The company’s shares on Wednesday ended 4.03 per cent higher at ₹78.75 on the BSE.
