Sonata Software has given a grant of Rs 1.05 crore to the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B), in order to fund research in digital transformation. This grant would be used to support research, which could be used to accelerate digital and platform-based business transformation, Srikar Reddy, MD & CEO, Sonata Software said. This is a three-year project, company executives said.
Supporting research and educational initiatives through an institution like IIIT-B is expected to contribute towards enabling digital transformation for enterprises, said Reddy. “Digital technology has taken centrestage as part of business strategy and competitiveness. The rapid pace of change has created a need for quick and effective intervention, with more structured frameworks and thinking on how technology needs to be leveraged by enterprises," added S Sadagopan, Director of IIIT-B.
Sonata Software also funds research and funding entrepreneurs in technology ventures through educational institutions such as NIT Trichy and IISc Bangalore.
