Vodafone India has partnered with e-commerce marketplace Flipkart to provide a range of entry-level smartphones at an effective price of ₹999. As part of the tie-up, Vodafone has rolled out cash-back offers on select range of entry-level 4G smartphone models available under Flipkart’s #MyFirst4GSmartphone campaign.
For the offer, customers have to a recharge least ₹150 per month for 36 months (recharges can be of any denomination totalling to a minimum of ₹150 per month). Pre-paid customers of Vodafone purchasing any of the eligible entry-level smartphones on Flipkart will be eligible for the cash-back offer, the firm said in a statement.
At the end of 18 months, customers will receive a cash-back of ₹900, and after another 18 months, ₹1,100, totalling ₹2,000. The cash-back will be credited to Vodafone M-Pesa wallets, it added.
“This is an initiative to make 4G smartphones available at never-before price points and thus democratise access to Vodafone SuperNet 4G. We hope this will help fulfil the aspirations of several million phone users across the country who desire a smartphone but couldn’t afford one,” said Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director (Consumer Business), Vodafone India.
“It will also encourage current non-users of 4G to upgrade and enjoy a richer user experience with Vodafone SuperNet 4G,” he added.
