Vodafone India today said it has launched its ‘World of Difference’ (WOD) programme, under which 25 of its employees will work with 25 NGOs for eight weeks.
WOD is a flagship initiative run by the Vodafone Foundation and in India, the second edition will run in partnership with philanthropy foundation Dasra.
The employees will use their skills, expertise and passion to help organisations specialising in areas like healthcare, education, disability and women empowerment.
“Participating employees undergo focused training in the social sector and gain a better understanding of the diverse socio-economic landscape across India,” Vodafone India MD and CEO Marten Pieters said.
