Vodafone, in an information note, has said with the launching of mobile network portability (MNP) since January last, it has launched a toll-free helpline number 1-800-1234567 to answer queries on MNP, and guide subscribers on the range of benefits and plans offered by the company.
The note reminded that switching from one network to the other will take around 7 working days, and subscribers are allowed to change only after staying with the new network for 90 days. The charge of Rs19 for the service is not refundable.
Prepaid users will not be able to carry forward any remaining balance to their new network, and post-paid users need to clear all their outstanding bills before switching networks. The customers in Chennai and Tamil Nadu have the option to walk into any of the ?Happy to Help' outlets for guidance, the release added.
