BSE has launched a beta version of its online member (broker) surveillance system e-Boss. Once the system is formally launched by month-end, it would generate real time regulatory and non-regulatory transactional alerts said a BSE statement.
Brokers would be able monitor fraudulent trade practices such as circular trading, pump and dump, wash sales, front running, order book spoofing and the like. Usual alerts on orders trades, scrip-wise gainers and losers and the like would also be available.
“The system is smooth and easy to use. However, it would not be possible to monitor the overall position of a client if he transacts on both the BSE and the NSE,” said Subhash Sharma, Head- Back Office GEPL.
