IT majors Infosys, TCS and Wipro held on to their firm undertone near the close on Wednesday. At 3.35 pm Infosys led the pack on the BSE, quoting at ₹3,344. This represented a gain of 3.37 per cent on its previous close of ₹3,235.10.
Hindalco Industries also extended its morning gains to quote at ₹192.70, up 2.36 per cent on its previous close at ₹188.25 .
TCS made further ground to hold gains of 2.09 per cent at ₹2,583.95. The stock had closed yesterday’s session at ₹2,531.05.
Wipro rallied further to trade at ₹569.70 as against ₹558.90 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 1.93 per cent.
Hero MotoCorp sped up in the latter half of the session to hold gains of 1.66 per cent at ₹2,563. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹2,521.05.
