Aluminium traded 0.13 per cent lower in futures trade today after speculators offloaded their positions, taking weak cues from global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in March traded 20 paise or 0.13 per cent lower to Rs 115.95 a kg, with a business turnover of three lots.
The metal for delivery in February was also down marginally by 10 paise or 0.09 per cent to Rs 115.05 a kg, with a trading volume of four lots.
Meanwhile, at the London Metal Exchange aluminium shed 0.2 per cent to $2,545 a tonne.
Analysts said losses in most of base metals at the London Metal Exchange slackened domestic demand, and weighed on the aluminium futures prices here.
