Caustic soda prices rose by Rs 50 per 150 kg in the national capital on Saturday on the back of a firm demand from consuming industries amid fall in supply from the producing belts.
Caustic soda flake rose by Rs 150 to close at Rs 1,200—1,300 a 50 kg.
Market analysts said apart from good demand from detergent manufacturers, tight supply from the producing belts also pushed up caustic soda prices at the wholesale chemical market here.
