Chana prices rose further by Rs 7 to Rs 2,410 a quintal in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions, supported by rising demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in May gained Rs 7 or 0.29 per cent to Rs 2,410 a quintal, with an open interest of 82,510 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in April advanced by Rs 5 or 0.21 per cent to Rs 2,356 a quintal, with a business turnover of 1,11,910 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in prices to the rising demand in the spot market.
