Crude palm oil prices were up by Rs 3 to Rs 522.50 per 10 kg at the futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of a rise in spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in April rose Rs 3 or 0.58 per cent to Rs 522.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of a single lot.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in May edged up by Rs 2.30 or 0.44 per cent to Rs 519.50 per 10 kg with a business turnover of four lots.
Analysts said fresh buying by speculators on the back of pick-up in demand in the spot markets mainly pushed up crude palm oil futures prices.
