On the back of weak rupee, imported edible oils such as palmolein and soyabean refined oil gained ₹3 each, while rapeseed oil rose by ₹5. Groundnut oil declined by ₹5 for 10 kg. Sunflower and cotton refined oil ruled unchanged. Local refineries increased their rates for palmolein by ₹2 on improved local demand. During the day, 1,700-1,800 tonnes of palmolein and super palmolein were sold by local refineries to stockists . Liberty sold 300 tonnes of palmolein at ₹574 and 400 tonnes super palmolein at ₹591-595. Ruchi sold about 800-900 tonnes of palmolein at ₹569-572 for nearby due and ₹572-574 for forward. Allana sold 300 tonnes of palmolein at ₹571 for August.

Liberty was quoting palmolein for ₹576, super palmolein ₹596 and soyabean refined oil ₹648. Ruchi was quoting palmolein at ₹572-574, soyabean refined oil ₹643-645 and sunflower refined oil ₹643-646. Allana was quoting palmolein at ₹573-577, soyabean refined oil ₹645 and sunflower refined oil ₹645. In Saurashtra, groundnut telia tin was up ₹10 to ₹1,210 and loose (10 kg) increase by ₹5 to ₹775.
