Both soyabean and soya oil continued to trade low on weak global cues on sluggish demand. Even as arrival of soyabean in mandis across Madhya Pradesh declined to 40,000 bags, sluggish demand from crushers and weak buying in soyameal dragged soyabean prices to ₹3,475-3,500 a quintal (down ₹200 from last week).
Similarly, plant deliveries too declined to ₹3,550 (down ₹250 from last week) on sluggish demand in soya oil. Soyameal also declined on the spot today to ₹32,000-200 a quintal (down ₹1,200 from last week). Bearish trend also continued in soya oil with soya refined declining to ₹607-610 for 10 kg (₹615-Rs 620), while soya solvent was quoted at ₹590-595.
