Edible oils prices moved up on higher local demand amid bullish futures. On the BCE, groundnut and rapeseed oil jumped by ₹10 per 10 kg each. Palmolein was up ₹5 and cotton refined oil by ₹2. Local refineries raised their rates by ₹5-10 tracking firm overseas markets and weak rupee which made imports costlier. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹570, super palmolein ₹580, soyabean refined oil ₹627. Allana traded palmolein for ₹572, soya refined oil ₹632 and sunflower refined oil ₹735. In Saurashtra/Rajkot, groundnut oil telia was steady at ₹1,530 and loose (10 kg) ₹975.
