Freight rates for 10 tonne load for Guwahati and Bangalore declined by Rs 1,000 each in the local truck transport market today following restricted cargo movement.

Transporters said poor movement of cargo along with excess position of trucks pulled down some of the centres freight rates.

Delhi to Guwahati and Banglore rates slipped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 37,000 and Rs 44,000, respectively. Rates to Kanpur and Jaipur also fell by Rs 500 each to Rs 11,000 and Rs 9,000, respectively.

Following are the rates in Rs for load of 10 tonne: Ahmedabad 14,000, Hyderabad 32,000, Mumbai 21,000, Vijayawada 34,000, Baroda 16,000, Chennai 42,000, Pune 23,000, Bangalore 44,000, Surat 18,000, Mysore 49,000, Kanpur 11,000, Puducherry 44,000, Kolkata 25,000, Coimbatore 50,000, Ludhiana 12,500, Kochi 54,000, Chandigarh 10,500, Thiruvananthapuram 60,000, Jaipur 9,000, Goa 34,000, Indore 13,000, Gwalior 8,500, Patna 21,000 and Guwahati 37,000.
