Edible oils market ruled mixed tracking thin volatility in futures amid slack physical demand. On the BCE, groundnut and palmolein gained by ₹10 and 1 for 10 kg each. Soyabean and cotton refined oil declined by ₹3 and ₹2 each. Sunflower and rapeseed oil ruled steady. Malaysian palm oil and NCDEX soya oil futures were flat. Sources said tracking stable foreign markets stockiest stay away from fresh bulk buys. During the day resellers off loaded 300-350 tonnes palmolein at ₹593-598 and 40 – 50 tonnes of soyabean refined oil at ₹652-653 for ready-weekly. New arrivals of oilseeds are putting pressure on indigenous oils sources added. Liberty: Palmolein Ex Shapur ₹618 for 31 October.

Super palmolein ₹640 up to 31October. Allana: Palmolein Ex Khapoli ₹615 for 23 October – 15 November. Soya refined oil ₹675 for 15 October-15 November. Sunflower refined oil ₹695 up to 15 November. Ruchi: Palmolein ex Patalganga ₹602 for 20-30 October,₹603for 1-10 November. Soyabean refined oil ₹663 and Sunflower refined oil ₹690 for October. Golden agri: Palmolein ex JNPT ₹605 for October. At Rajkot: groundnut oil Telia Tin increased to ₹1,370 (1,360) and Loose (10 kg) up by ₹10 to ₹850 (₹840). Malaysian crude palm oil, October- 17 futures settled at MYR 2,739 (MYR 2,741) and November -17 ended at MYR2,738 (MYR 2,733). On NCDEX: Soyabean refined oil October-17 futures was steady at ₹657.60 (₹657.60) and November-17 was at ₹661.50 (₹659.65).

On BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 880 (870), soya refined oil 657 (660), sunflower exp. ref. 625 (625), sunflower ref. 688 (688), rapeseed ref. oil 780 (780), rapeseed expeller ref. 750 (750), cottonseed ref. oil 670 (672) and Palmolein 596 (595).
