Nickel and tin prices advanced further on the non-ferrous metal market on Monday on sustained demand from stockists and alloy industries amidst firming trend in overseas. Select copper, brass, aluminium and zinc prices moved down on subdued industrial offtake. Tin prices spurted by Rs 15 a kg to Rs 1,640 and nickel rose by Rs 5 a kg to Rs 1,360. Copper armature also edged up by Re 1 a kg to Rs 463. Copper utensils scrap fell by Rs 4 a kg to Rs 436. Copper sheet cutting and brass sheet cutting both eased by Rs 3 a kg each to Rs 456 and Rs 325. Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap, aluminium utensils scrap and zinc all softened by Re 1 a kg each to Rs 480, Rs 508, Rs 319, Rs 108 and Rs 134 respectively.
