Pepper prices ruled steady in both the spot and IPSTA platform on limited activities. There was no arrival on the terminal market. However, semi-processed pepper of 550 GL was being offered at ₹685 a kg, market sources told Business Line.
Karnataka sellers who were offering their produce at ₹710 and have also reportedly reduced their price to ₹685. On the IPSTA platform October and November contracts remained unchanged. On the spot market, prices were steady at ₹67,800 (ungarbled) and ₹70,800 (garbled) a quintal. Export prices wereat $12,000 a tonne cf for Europe and $12,250 for the US.
