Spot rubber closed unchanged on Wednesday. RSS 4 was quoted steady at ₹129.50 and ₹129 per kg respectively, by traders and the Rubber Board. The trend was partially mixed as RSS 5 improved marginally amidst scattered transactions. Declines in TOCOM futures kept the sentiments under pressure during the latter half of the day. April futures firmed up to ₹132.84 (131.88) per kg on the Indian Commodity Exchange (ICEX).
RSS 3 (spot) improved to ₹122.18 (121.90) per kg at Bangkok. March futures declined to ₹109.07 (112.33) per kg on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM).
Spot rubber rates (₹/kg): RSS-4: 129.50 (129.50); RSS-5: 126 (125.50); ISNR 20: 124.50 (124.50) and Latex (60% drc): 82.50 (82.50).
