The arrival of turmeric bags for sale has increased on Friday.
At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Sales yard, finger turmeric sold at ₹6,328 to 9,111 a quintal. The root variety sold at ₹5,690 to 8,041 a quintal. Of the arrival of 2,806 bags 1,279 bags were sold. At the Regulated Marketing Society, finger turmeric sold at ₹7,869 to 9,404 a quintal. The root variety sold at₹7,078 to 8,109 a quintal. Of the 1,543 bags kept for sale, 1,331 bags were sold. At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, finger turmeric sold at ₹7,915 to 9,099 a quintal. The root variety sold at ₹7,099 to 8,089 a quintal. Of the arrival of 1,260 bags 1,068 bags were sold.
