Gold held near four—month low as investors awaited a European Central Bank monetary policy decision and US economic data that may support further reductions to the Federal Reserve’s asset purchases.
Gold traded little changed at $1,243.35 an ounce.
Silver fell 0.3 per cent to $18.76 an ounce.
Gold fell a second time in three months in May as the euro weakened 1.7 per cent versus the dollar on speculation that the ECB will add stimulus when policymakers meet today.
