The Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) index declined sharply during the week.
The CSE benchmark index CSE-40 was down 227.41 points as selling pressure remained strong. The local bourse was lower by 7.35 points.
The index opened at 6208.19 and during the week slipped to close at 5982.78. Blueprint Securities was at Rs 307.20 and Infosys was down to Rs 2147.60 at close of the week. Larsen & Toubro was at Rs 1325.
Reliance Industries gained marginally to close at Rs 718.90. State Bank of India eased to Rs 1993.50 and Tata Steel declined to Rs 396.50 at end of the week.
Twenty First Century ended the week at Rs 325.65 while Vindus Holding was at Rs 307.
