The Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) lost ground sharply during the week.
The benchmark index CSE-40 was down 330.02 points during the week. The local bourse was lower at 276.70 points.
The index opened at 6,332.37 points and the market lost ground in all trading sessions of the week. Trading volume and business, however, stayed normal during the period.
Bharat Heavy Electricals was down at Rs 1,686.80 and Blueprint Securities fell to Rs 307.
Infosys Technologies was down at Rs 2,192. Larsen & Toubro finished the week at 1,631 and Reliance Industries was down to Rs 725.90. State Bank closed down at Rs 2,035.95. Twenty First Century was at Rs 323.60 and Vindus Holding Rs 304.60.
