The Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) benchmark index continues to lose ground during the week.
The benchmark index CSE-40 declined by 156.77 points during the week. It was down 54.79 points in the previous week.
The index opened at 7,345.08 points and touched an intra-week high of 7,400.80. In all the consecutive sessions of the week, the index lost ground and closed at 7,188.31.
ACC was up by Rs 4.50 to Rs 999.30. BHEL closed down at Rs 2,141.10. ONGC ended down at Rs 1,126. Reliance Industries declined by Rs 45 to Rs 925.
State Bank of India gained to Rs 2,614 and Tata Steel inched higher to close at Rs 652.
