Asian Paints spurted 3.65 per cent to lead the pack on the NSE on Tuesday morning. At 11 am the share was trading at Rs 837.25, as against Rs 807.75 at close on Monday.
Jindal Steel gained 2.54 per cent at Rs 153.20. The share had closed the overnight session at Rs 149.40.
The market held steady in the Tuesday morning session on firm Asian cues. While the BSE Sensex was within striking distance of the 27,600-mark, the Nifty was comfortably above the 8,300-level.
IndusInd Bank extended yesterday’s firm run to move up 2.06 per cent at Rs 846.50. The share had closed yesterday’s session at Rs 829.45.
BHEL also maintained its firm trend to move up 1.69 per cent at Rs 262. The share had finished the previous session at Rs 257.65.
UltraTech Cement held firm at Rs 2,745.55. This represented a gain of 1.68 per cent on the overnight finish at Rs 2,700.30.
