Auto stocks are under selling pressure with only two vehicle manufacturers — Hero Motocorp and M&M — on the BSE Auto index staying in the green.
Bajaj Auto, despite its good April numbers, did not escape selling pressure and was down by Rs 23.30 at Rs 1,599.80. The other major loser was Maruti Suzuki, which declined by Rs 21.90 at Rs 1,348. Tata Motors slipped by Rs 7.10 to Rs 309.65.
Hero Motocorp was up by Rs 22.30 at Rs 2,257.20. M&M moved up by Rs 8.35 to Rs 718.50.
Among the component makers, Bharat Forge was up by Rs 5.60 at Rs 326 and Cummins India was trading higher by Rs 5.70 at Rs 488.
